City gas is a carbohydrate composed of carbon and hydrogen. When it burns inside a boiler, hydrogen and oxygen combine together to generate water. The water absorbs about 10% of vaporization heat and transforms itself into vapor that is discharged to the outside.
The condensing boiler includes a condensing economizer installed near the outlet for discharge gas and it can retrieve the condensed hidden heat from the vapor and improve efficiency by 100%.
City gas contains more hydrogen than coal and other fossil fuels and has no sulfur. So, it generates no sulfuric acid (H2SO4) that reacts with condensed water with hidden heat and corrodes metals. This is the main benefit of the condensing boiler. |
